Owanjila Dam is a river dam in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online in the Big Valley region of the West Elizabeth territory.
The dam obstructs the flow of the Upper Montana River, which created the Owanjila reservoir. The presence of the dam likely explains why the Upper Montana's water level is shallower and can be easily crossed in Red Dead Redemption 2. It is also the only bridge that crosses the Upper Montana River.

- Upon further inspection, the player can find a Ginseng Elixir between a log and a rock, just west of the dam itself.
- South of the dam, about halfway to the border with Tall Trees, a group of scattered crates can be found near the road. Among them is a lockbox containing Chewing Tobacco, money, and the Special Bitters Pamphlet.
- In a camp conversation between Abigail and John Marston during Beaver Hollow, John proposes to meet at the dam as a contingency plan.
Trivia[]
- This dam is the explanation for the lower water level of the Upper Montana River during the storyline of Red Dead Redemption 2. By the events of the first game, the water level is much higher to the point where passing through doesn't appear possible because the dam was opened up after the events of American Venom as seen in the credits[1] scene.
