The Owl is a species of animal found in Red Dead Redemption II.
Description[]
Location[]
The owl can be found sporadically through most northern and central areas of the map, but the highest concentration seems to be at and around Aurora Basin in Tall Trees. It will not spawn during the day, only at night.
Challenges[]
Owl feathers are required for Survivalist Challenge 8 to craft a homing tomahawk.
Tips[]
Like eagles, owls sometimes spawn resting in fixed spots on the map, so whenever the player finds a spot where they can easily hit the bird, they can pinpoint the location and then just wait for the bird to spawn again. Owls can be easily found resting on the rooftop of isolated houses and shacks by nightime, like Tanner's Reach, Catfish Jacksons and the Veteran's Homestead.
Also, there is a day spawn location at the "Z" in West Elizabeth.
If not sitting on one of the buildings already, Owls tend to spawn flying in the air, around 04:00 am at night. Once you know where and when to look, finding an owl becomes easier.
