The Pit Boss is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
History[]
Background[]
The Pit Boss supervises and oversees operations in the casino part of The Grand Korrigan riverboat.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
After Arthur Morgan defeats Desmond Blythe in Poker, the Pit Boss congratulates him and leads him upstairs to the safe where the Reutlinger pocket watch and money are located, taking Javier Escuella (who is disguised as a security guard) on the way. After opening the safe, Javier holds him at gunpoint, allowing Arthur to disarm him. With the Pit Boss supposedly unarmed, Arthur begins looting the safe. However, the Pit Boss secretly has a second gun and attempts to kill him; Arthur is faster however, and manages to shoot the Pit Boss first.
Unfortunately for the gang members involved in the robbery, the gunshot which killed the Pit Boss alerted the guards and ended any chance of completing the robbery peacefully.
Character[]
Personality[]
The Pit Boss appears to be racist, as he laments how the Reutlinger watch is "foreign made" and makes several negative comments on blacks and Javier being Mexican, including referring to him as a "greaser". He was also very cautious, keeping an extra gun on his person in case he were to be deprived of his first one.
