Ralph is a citizen of Blackwater and a gambler. He also owns the "R.J. Dutton Tack and Feed" store in Blackwater. He has a relative, Mary Dutton, buried in Blackwater cemetery.

Ralph, on occasion, has interestingly expressed a desire to visit the region featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 called "the Grizzlies”, suggesting the region’s inception has been dated back to as far as the first game’s development.[1]
