Red Dead Online is a multiplayer-focused action-adventure videogame developed by Rockstar San Diego and published Rockstar Games. It is the online multiplayer mode of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption II. Although it is playable only with a Red Dead Redemption II disc, Red Dead Online is considered a stand-alone title by Rockstar Games, in the same way w:c:gta:Grand Theft Auto Online is for w:c:gta:Grand Theft Auto V and is treated as such by the developer.
It is scheduled for a November 2018 launch as a public beta. Currently, nothing has been confirmed regarding gameplay elements or game modes.
