This page describes one of Red Dead Wiki's policies and guidelines
All users are expected to follow policy, except where it would damage the wiki. If you have any questions, suggestions, or complaints, please post them on the talk page.

Content articles should not include pronouns such as "you" or "your" - use third-person terms such as "the player" and "their" instead.

For example:

"If you go outside the spaceship, you can see your house"

Try to replace the second-person pronouns with something else, and you can be creative:

"If the player goes outside the spaceship, it is possible to see their house".

This wiki is designed to be a source of information, nor a list of instructions or a record of one editor's experiences. When writing an article, you can't assume that the reader is playing the game, so you should tell them what the player can do.

If you find content that is written using the I/you/we pronouns, please rewrite it to be in the third-person (the player/he/she/they).

Exceptions to this are when you are speaking directly to the reader (such as on policy pages, help pages or other instructions) or directly to a specific person (such as on talk pages).
