Roadside Brothel is a brothel in Red Dead Redemption 2, in the Roanoke Ridge region of the New Hanover territory.

Description[]

Madame Mozelle's House - or, as stated on the map, the 'Roadside Brothel' - was established in 1850, and judging by the slouched skeletal corpse, of what is probably Madame Mozelle, sitting on the porch, it most likely closed some time before 1899. However, as the sounds of buzzing flies suggest, the woman's death might have been a relatively recent occurrence.

The brothel itself is inaccessible, but its outsides nonetheless contain a few interesting features, such as:

  • A damaged painting of a naked lady, facing the road. It might have served as an advertisement for the services provided inside.
  • A sign stating that this is 'Madam Mozelle's House'.
  • Several blooming bushes surround the establishment.
  • As noted above, a skeletal corpse, likely of the proprietor, sitting slouched in a chair on the porch.

Trivia[]

  • Leaving and returning shortly afterwards can cause the skeleton to lie in front of the chair. It will be marked on the map, as a corpse, and in-game as a 'stranger'. It can then be picked up, but not looted. This seems to be a bug.
  • Underneath the deceased woman's chair, there is a lockbox containing a Female Fertility Statue.
