The Saint Denis Pawnbroker, also known as the Saint Denis Fence and Saint Denis Pawn Shop is a location and business featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Background[]
Run by Claude Jarreau, the store is located on the Saint Denis Market and was established at some point prior to 1898. Besides the pawnshop, the two brothers operating the store run a fencing business and Claude is even involved in human trafficking.
Events of Red Dead Online[]
In 1898, the protagonist can visit the shop to sell valuables or buy items such as dynamite, fire bottles, or pamphlets.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
The player can visit the store at any time after the mission "Eastward Bound". Jarreau can sell and craft useful items and will also buy valuables from the player.
During "Help a Brother Out", Arthur Morgan is sent to the store by Brother Dorkins to investigate the latter's suspicion of it being a front for human trafficking. The presumption turned out to be true, as Jarreau is shown to be holding two children from the Spanish isles captive in the store's basement. After discovering them, Arthur brings the children to Dorkins.
In the Epilogue, during the mission "Bare Knuckle Friendship", John Marston can visit the shop, now under new management, in order to ask about the whereabouts of Charles Smith.
Trivia[]
- When visiting the shop after "Help a Brother Out", a different shopkeeper will be present who will claim he was not involved in the human trafficking business in any way.
- The mask that caused the events of Undead Nightmare can be found twice inside the store.
- According to the shopkeeper, people still talk about the human trafficking business in 1907.
