Silver Dollar is a supporting character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
He served as the mount of Hosea Matthews throughout 1899.

Horseshoe Overlook Chapter[]
After the Van der Linde gang’s arrival at Horseshoe Overlook, Silver Dollar can be found at camp. Hosea takes him out during “Exit, Pursued by a Bruised Ego” to O’Creagh’s Run alongside Arthur Morgan and his horse on a bear hunt. He is hitched nearby as Hosea or Arthur are nearly killed by the bear, and is brought back to the camp. In “The Spines of America”, Hosea takes him to Emerald Ranch. After the arrival of Arthur, Hosea takes him to rob a homestead, though Hosea departs from it in a stolen wagon. Somehow, he and Arthur’s horse are hitched back at Emerald Ranch, and Hosea departs on him.
Clemens Point Chapter[]
Following the gang relocating to Clemens Point, Hosea would ride him alongside Dutch van der Linde, The Count, as well as Arthur and his horse but along the way they meet with a few lawmen and while Arthur was busy recapturing some escaped criminals, the others would ride into Rhodes to discuss some business. Upon the return of Arthur, he may optionally decide to go fishing and if this happens, they will ride to a nearby lake and he as well as the other horses are left behind as Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur get in boats, though they resurface soon thereafter in camp. Otherwise, they will simply be ridden back to camp. Hosea rides him up to the Braithwaite Manor in “Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern” following Jack Marston’s disappearance.
Saint Denis Chapter[]
Silver Dollar appears at the gang’s new camp in Shady Belle, but is never ridden again after this. Following Hosea’s death, he is never seen again, though a horse greatly resembling him can be bought at the Tumbleweed Stable by John Marston in 1907 or in Red Dead Online.

Personality[]
Silver Dollar is docile but may give resistance to being pet, he can get skittish but is mostly calm by nature. Hosea and him seem to have a decent bond together.
Appearance[]
His entire body is gray, though his top is more blackish and his legs are pure black. His hooves are gray, and his mane and tail are black, though his eyes are brown.
