The Skinner Brothers are a faction featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Overview

The Skinner Brothers are a gang of ruthless killers and thieves who move from place to place to hunt and kill. The Skinners are notorious for their cruel acts and horrific tortures. They're known to scalp, dismember, gutshoot, disembowel, roast, and flay people alive, less like an outlaw gang and more like a cult of deranged serial killers.

History

By 1907, the Skinner Brothers are camped in the Tall Tress county of West Elizabeth. They terrorize John Marston in his attempts at building a ranch at Beecher's Hope, ambushing and killing his construction crew and kidnapping Uncle with the intent of torturing him to death out of spite for trying to live near their territory. John and Charles save Uncle from getting roasted alive over an open fire. Afterwards, its two leaders Otis Skinner and Elias Green can be captured by the player as bounties and executed by the Blackwater Police Department. It's unknown what happened to the Skinner Brothers upon being beheaded, though they've certainly at the very least moved far from West Elizabeth by 1911.

Trivia

  • The Skinner Brothers perform sadist acts on their victims similar to that of the Murfree Brood gang which are located around Butcher Creek in Roanoke Ridge, outside Annesburg. Both gangs horrifically mutilate, torture and murder their victims and often just kill for the enjoyment of it.
