History

Background

Other than being a traveling ranch-hand and having a son, Solomon's background is unknown.

Events of Red Dead Redemption

Solomon can be found in and around MacFarlane's Ranch, usually doing odd jobs, like tending to the hay or fixing tables or crates with a hammer. He sometimes works inside the Foreman's Office. He can also be found working his trade in Ridgewood Farm or traveling through various settlements on horseback or a wagon with other NPC's. During nighttime, he and Willie Henning will always sleep on the ground near the player's bed at the Ridgewood Farm Safehouse. He can also be found playing Liar's Dice in Escalera and in Casa Madrugada.

Events of Undead Nightmare

In Undead Nightmare, Solomon can be found defending the settlement of MacFarlane's Ranch where he is on the roof of a house. If MacFarlane's Ranch is saved and Solomon survives, he will stand on a porch by the fire. Solomon can also be found at Fort Mercer. Since Fort Mercer is a safe zone, Solomon is in no danger from the Undead hordes. In a random encoutner, he can be found in the wilderness defending himself against a bunch of undeads with Silas Gaskell and Melvin Spinney, or just Gaskell, and the player can choose whether to save him and the others or let him and the others be killed by the undead.

Trivia

• There is a location near Benedict Point called Solomon's Folly, though there is most likely no connection.
• In Undead Nightmare, while defending MacFarlane's Ranch, he is armed with a Repeater Carbine and is missing his hat.
  • Also when defending the ranch, Solomon can be heard yelling at the undead, saying that they killed his son. He will also reveal that his mother was killed by the undead hordes.
• Solomon appears to share the same character head with Rufus Byrd, Emerson Lang, and Milton Riggs.
• Besides the hat, he wears the same outfit as Rufus Edding. His outfit is also similar to that of Otis Pope, Shelby Goodwin and Wade Rackard.
