Stick and Move is an achievement/trophy in the Red Dead Redemption Legends and Killers DLC pack.

Description[]

Get 3 kills with Knives or Throwing Knives in a single competitive match.

Acquisition[]

The player is equipped with a hunting knife in all competitive matches, but throwing knives originally only appeared in competitive matches at the Pacific Union Railroad Camp. The Myths and Mavericks DLC provides throwing knives in several additional map locations in Free For All, Gang, and Stronghold matches.

Although this trophy/achievement was added by the Legends and Killers DLC, it can be earned in matches outside of the Legends and Killers playlists as well.

Tips[]

  • Due to the relatively short range of throwing knives and extremely short range of the hunting knife, maps with limited visibility (due to visual obstructions) will benefit the player in obtaining this trophy/achievement. On such maps, the player can better use the element of surprise as well as reducing the risk from other players using long range weapons. These maps include:
  • To gain an even bigger advantage, the player can use Hardcore game modes, as there is no aiming assistance. Since you don't really need to aim from a distance, use confusing and dodging movements to get closer to an enemy and strike with the hunting knife to take them out. The smaller the map, the more targets there are in a small area.

Trivia[]

  • The title is a reference to a style used in boxing. The "stick and move" method involves avoiding the opponent through elusive footwork. The boxer will land well-timed jabs, then back away again without giving the opponent opportunity to launch an attack of his own. In this way, a fighter can slowly wear down an adversary in relative safety.
