Had to order his belt from the children's section of the catalogue. Twiggy Phelps, who is not a particularly good outlaw, shooter or much of an equestrian, managed only to remain alive for as long because of his unnatural skinniness. This fella was so thin, he could hide behind a yucca tree without turning sideways.

Martin "Twiggy" Phelps is a minor character featured in Red Dead Revolver.

Twiggy can be unlocked as a playable character in Showdown Mode by either completing "Ugly Streetfight" on Bounty Hunter Mode or purchasing the Straw Pipe. His special ability grants him explosive Bottles or Fire Bottles.

History[]

Background[]

Twiggy Phelps is a bandit who is not particularly good at what he does, surviving only due to his significant skinniness making him a difficult target. Similarly to Smitty and Udo Kang, Twiggy runs from one gang to another and appears to be a lifelong vagabond.

Events of Red Dead Revolver[]

As with many bandits in Red Dead Revolver, Twiggy is more of a character type than a single character. Twiggy first appears walking into Twin Rocks with Smitty during the mission "Bounty Hunter", before fighting Red Harlow. He is then seen in the "Ugly Streetfight", spawning alongside Udo Kang and Bob Larson, defending Chicken. If the player fails to kill Charlie Hancock before he runs into the restaurant, two to three Twiggies will spawn and attack Red.

Lastly, Twiggy will appear as a common enemy during "Range War" along with Jethro Greensleeves, trying to kill Annie Stoakes.

Twiggy Phelps is listed in Sheriff Bartlett's Journal on pages 136 - 137 under the Outlaws in Twelve States section. The pages are unlocked by unlocking his Showdown character by either of the methods noted above.

Trivia[]

  • Twiggy has an unique orange-like gun belt, which is actually a child's belt due to his skinniness.
  • He shares the same surname as Cole Phelps, the protagonist character of RockStar Game's L.A. Noire.
  • Twiggy always has a straw in his mouth, similar to how Chris Bailey and Bad Bessie always appear with cigars in their mouth.
  • In the beta version of the game, he was simply known as "Twig" and was dirty all over.
