Red Dead Revolver?

So, I got Red Dead Redemption in October, and I loved it within about twenty minutes. I like (mostly) everything about it, and I'm interested in playing Red Dead Revolver, but have a few questions that some of you who have played it can answer for me. First off, is it any good? I know the graphics are (obviously) going to be bad, but I wanna know if the story's any good. Is it as fun as Red Dead Redemption? And secondly, is it backwards compatible for XBox 360, because I don't have an original XBox.
