The Vulture is a large scavenging bird that is one of the animals found in Red Dead Redemption.
Description
Because of their size, they are an easy-to-find prey. They are easily the largest birds found in the game. The type of vulture seen in the game is in real life the Cinereous Vulture.
Several vultures will often appear over the site of a violent battle to consume corpses. Sharpshooter Rank 9 requires the player to shoot 6 animals in 1 dead eye burst, which can easily be done on a pack of vultures after completing a Gang Hideout.
Location
Vultures are found to congregate near the site of violent battles or the deaths of animals. They spawn around gang hideouts after the hideout has been cleared in singleplayer.
They are the only actual bird seen in the Undead Nightmare DLC, however they cannot be looted.
