Vulture is an animal found in Red Dead Redemption. They are large scavenging birds. They will often appear over the site of a violent battle to consume corpses. The player can fire on these birds to complete Sharpshooter Challenges.
In several missions, the player is able to track down the gangs as they leave a trail of vultures where they slaughtered the innocents. They are the only birds that aren't totally destroyed by a Buffalo Rifle shot.
Because of their size, they are an easy to find prey. They are easily the largest birds found in the game.
Sharpshooter Rank 9 requires the player to shoot 6 animals in 1 dead eye burst, which can easily be done on a pack of vultures after completing a Gang Hideout.
Locations
Vultures are found to congregate near the site of violent battles or the deaths of animals. They spawn around gang hideouts after the hideout has been cleared in singleplayer.
