“A brown horse with white stockings and blaze. Normal speed.”
–In-game description
The Welsh Mountain is a horse and transport featured in Red Dead Redemption.
Description
The Welsh Mountain is a chestnut horse with white stockings, blaze, and "ticking" (white hairs on the body) that moves at normal speed. Its base price is $500. It is specially-bred in Wales for racing and conquering the harsh mountain terrains.
Trivia
- Although the game calls this horse brown, its flaxen mane suggests that it is actually either a palomino or flaxen chestnut in color. It looks very similar to the Quarter Horse.
- Welsh Mountains are actually very tiny. Standing at 12.2-13.2 hh, and are mostly bay, with short stubby legs, and a sloopy head.
- At a far sight at night, the Welsh Mountain can be sometimes mistaken for a Quarter Horse due to its brown color pattern and sometimes its palomino mane and tail.
