Woolly Blue Curl (Trichostema lanatum) is a vendible good found in Red Dead Redemption.

Note: prices listed on this page are based upon the player having neutral honor and playing the game on Normal difficulty. If the player has high honor, the selling price will be Increased by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. Low Honor decreases selling price by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. While playing the game on Hardcore difficulty, money is more scarce and the base, neutral honor price of each item will be slightly lower.


Similar in size and shape to the Red Sage plants, the Woolly Blue Curls are found throughout Nuevo Paraiso. They are short green shrubs with indigo flowers. They are very easy to spot from some distance, except when galloping at high speeds.


They can be found in central Perdido in central Mexico. Use a Survivalist Map if you are struggling to find them. Woolly Blue Curls have also been seen on the route between Chuparosa and Escalara (Multiplayer).

In multiplayer they have also been seen near Mesa del Sol.



  • Trichostema lanatum (romero or Woolly Blue Curls) is a small evergreen shrub native to arid coastal regions of California. It is many-branched and grows to 1.5 m (5 ft) tall, with narrow, pointed green leaves. The smooth-petaled blue flowers are born in dense clusters, with the stem and calyces covered in woolly hairs of blue, pink, or white.
